Fashion Designer

How did you get into fashion design?

During my teenage years, I majored in business. But, at the same time, I had great interest in fashion and this led me to make a big decision about my life. After my graduation, I went to Japan to study abroad to become an expert in the fashion industry.    

What’s the story behind IHNN?

While I was attending Bunka Fashion College in Japan, I participated in the British London Graduated Fashion week as an academy representative. And at the same time, I worked and was introduced as Lady Gaga’s stylist by several beauty and fashion magazines. Through these fashion-related involvements, I was able to create my own brand IHNN.

Describe the IHNN aesthetic in three words

Luxurious modernity, experimental, double-side

As a designer, what are your major influences?

Just focusing on arts and music etc. all of them, expect the IHNN. 

What is your design philosophy?

Making a classy product, and as a designer, proposing a harmonious yet differentiating product. I’m not making anything difficult but we are trying to be special.

How would you describe the typical IHNN wearer?

Our products are for everyone. And, regardless of age or any types, we will help you to represent your own fashion.  

Tell us about your 18AW collection

Theme Dissonance.

I got inspiration from Mozart’s dissonance and it made me bring the dark yellow, ultraviolet, lavender colors that aren't often used during the winter. With these colors, I've created several collections and expressed these colors through textile and dissonance.  

What are you currently working on?

To collaborate with young artists, we are currently researching a lot of artworks to launch our “18aw” popup store at the 3rd floor of a Shinjuku Isetan department store.   

What can we expect from IHNN over the next few years?

I’m currently only existing in Japan, but we are going to be recognized as a global brand that.
